As I sit here, reflecting on my journey, I am reminded of the countless times I’ve struggled with self-acceptance and self-love. Growing up, I was constantly bombarded with unrealistic beauty standards, telling me that I needed to look a certain way, dress a certain way, and act a certain way to be considered beautiful. But what does beauty really mean? Is it just about physical appearance, or is it something more? I’ve learned that I am worthy, just as I am
But the truth is, those standards are unattainable and unrealistic. They’re created to sell products, promote consumerism, and keep us feeling inadequate. And it’s exhausting. I found myself constantly comparing my body to others, trying to fit into a certain size or shape, and feeling like I wasn’t good enough.
But one day, something shifted. I realized that I had a choice. I could continue to buy into the lies and pressure to conform, or I could break free and focus on what truly mattered - my inner beauty.
